Demo update still coming, Steam page live, and t-shirts available for a limited time!
Hey everyone. I want to say thank you again to everyone who's played the demo, commented, or made a video. I read and reread every comment and watch and rewatch every video because it means so much to me that people have enjoyed what I've been working on so far. I take all criticism to heart and appreciate the thought everyone has put into their critiques. I'm working on a lot of changes and I'm excited to share them. You all are the best.
I'm still working on an update to the demo as well as continuing work on the full game. I know I said it wouldn't be much longer before, but I want to make sure the update is polished and representative of what to expect in the final product, including new content and features that weren't ready for the initial demo (combat, working inventory, controller support).
Steam
In the meantime, if you don't follow me on twitter (@adinolfi) where I post most of my WIP/incremental updates/hot takes, you might not know that Heartworm is available to wishlist on Steam! If you liked the demo, want to support me, and want to know when the update is out, this is the best way to do it. When I finally release the update it'll be simultaneously released there and here on Itch.
Shirts
I wanted to make a shirt to commemorate the demo and encourage me to keep working on it. I put it up on TeeSpring for the lowest price I could ($11), so if you're interested you can buy one here! If you do get one, take a picture and let me know when it shows up! I'm only going to leave it up for a little while, so don't wait too long.
I'll hopefully be back with an update soon. I already struggle when it comes to making progress on all of this after working my "real" job and everything else happening in life, but with this global pandemic happening it's only making things harder. I'm thinking about streaming some of my development process to get live feedback from people, and also hold myself accountable. Is this something you'd be interested in? Let me know! And thanks again.
